1. A hockey rink is presented in my painting. I chose this place to paint I love hockey and I spend so much of my time in the rink.
2. The most challenging part of my painting was to make the rink look realistic and keeping the paint neat and clean. 3. The most successful thing about my piece is that the bold colors really make the painting stand out and grab people's attention. 4. I started by drawing the rink with a pencil. After that I started with the ice because it was in the middle and wanted to work out. Then came the stands and eventually the top half.

1. From these activities we were able to learn how to create new colors by mixing other colors together. We learned the amounts of each we needed to make the colors and all the types of colors there were.
2. The painting of the color wheel will be the most helpful for my painting that I planned because I will be including my colors that will require mixing, and from doing this I will know what to do. 3. I learned most from the creating of the shade/tone/tint because even though it took a while to get each one correct, I had learned the process and the amounts of black and white to add to make it look good. 4. There are many ways to make brown: -Mix yellow and purple -Mix Red and Green -Mix Blue and Orange 5. In order to tone down a color you would either add a little grey or add the opposite color. 1. The warmup that was most helpful during this unit was when we had to draw upside down Picasso drawing. I believe that that was the most helpful because even though we had to draw it upside down which was super hard, it let up see all the lines and shapes that was within the picture, making it easier to draw. Now we learned that when looking at a drawing or if you have to copy a picture, just fine the shapes that it makes up and little by little construct the piece.
2. Value- element of design that defines the light and dark an artwork. Composition- the placement or arrangement of visual elements or ingredients in a work of art. 3. Pencil Pros- the pencil tip is small that its good for the all the little details. - you can control the light and dark that you want to have on your drawing. - can create different textures by changing the angles. - does not need to dry when done. cons- can be smudged easily that will ruin the drawing. - pencils get dull and need to be sharpened frequently. Pen pros- its easy to see the drawing. - not being able to erase will make you be more careful. - the bold colors of the pen will make the art standout. cons- if you make a mistake you can't erase it. - you can accidentally smudge the ink. - the ink can bleed through the paper. Charcoal pros- you can work a lot quicker - it smudges that can blend in with the drawing - if you mess up you can just rub it back it back into the drawing. cons- is very messy and gets all over. - the drawing can dust off and fade away. |
